“JAPAN PROJECT” is a set of 10 silkscreen prints of iconic Japanese companies advertisements and a portrait of Andy Warhol.
This series was based on Warhol’s visit to Japan and his fascination with Japanese culture.
After the death of Warhol, the master printer Rupert J. Smith taken over the project and finalize in 1989 with his printing skills.
This exhibition focused on “NAMCO-PACMAN” because May 22, 2019 is the 39th anniversary of PACMAN.
Other than regular edition, trial proof and print on canvas which are different and unique color will be exhibited.
